Montreal: A tragic incident unfolded in Vermont when a 21-year-old woman was arrested for the shooting of a Border Patrol agent. The agent, David Maland, was killed during a traffic stop on Interstate 91.

The FBI has charged Teresa Youngblut in connection with the shooting. She was reportedly under surveillance along with a German man, Felix Baukholt, who also died in the incident.

Maland pulled over Youngblut and Baukholt because of a suspected expired visa. Things escalated quickly when Youngblut allegedly fired at Maland and other officers. Baukholt attempted to draw a weapon, leading to a chaotic exchange of gunfire.

Authorities are still piecing together the details of what happened, including who fired the shots that struck whom. It’s a tough situation, and the investigation is ongoing.
