Hershey Canada is discontinuing Cherry Blossom, a nostalgic candy, leaving fans divided on its legacy and taste.
Hershey announced that Cherry Blossom will be gone by early 2025. They said it’s been a cherished treat for many Canadians. But not everyone agrees. Some people think it’s just too gooey.
I mean, one guy, Steven, said he liked them as a kid. Now? He thinks they’re “kind of gooey and stupid.” Ouch! Then there’s Morgan, who tried one for the first time. She said, “It’s alright,” but didn’t want to finish it.
It seems like Canadians have a love-hate thing going on with Cherry Blossom. A professor from Concordia University mentioned that the candy business is tough. People want new and exciting treats these days.
He also pointed out that retailers might not want to give space to a candy that hasn’t changed much. But who knows? Maybe another company will try to bring back that cherry-chocolate combo in the future.
