A serious carbon monoxide leak in Brossard has left a man critically injured and two police officers hospitalized while responding to the emergency
Brossard: A man in his sixties is in critical condition after a carbon monoxide leak. This happened in a residential building on Lennon Street.
Two police officers who rushed to help him also got sick. They were taken to the hospital too. It’s a scary situation, and we’re all hoping for the best for everyone involved.
The leak was reported around 2:30 p.m., and it’s still unclear how the gas spread. Firefighters worked hard to ventilate the building, using big fans to clear the air.
Residents had to evacuate two nearby buildings, and buses were brought in to help them. Police are asking folks to stay away from the area while first responders do their thing.
