The Montreal Victoire will face off against the Boston Fleet at the Bell Centre, promising an exciting match for hockey fans.
Last season, the Bell Centre was packed with 21,105 fans when Montreal faced Toronto, setting a record for women’s hockey attendance. That game ended in a nail-biting 3-2 overtime loss for Montreal.
Before this season, the Victoire played at the smaller Verdun Auditorium, but now they’re at the 10,000-seat Place Bell in Laval. The Bell Centre game is being called the “Duel at the Top” for the second year in a row.
Currently, the Victoire are leading the PWHL with a record of 6-2-1-2, while the Fleet sit in fifth place with a record of 3-2-2-4. Last season, Boston knocked Montreal out in the semifinals, so there’s definitely some rivalry here.
Victoire’s general manager, Danièle Sauvageau, expressed excitement about returning to the Bell Centre, recalling the unforgettable atmosphere from last season. She’s confident that the fans will show up in full force to support the team again.
