CBC News invites you to share your unique voting story and perspective
Toronto: So, Canada’s gearing up for a federal election, possibly as soon as this spring. Exciting, right? But here’s the thing: everyone has their own reasons for voting, or even choosing not to vote.
CBC News wants to hear from you! What’s the issue that really gets you fired up? Do you have a personal story that highlights your experience? They’re looking for real voices, not just the usual political chatter.
If you’ve got something to say, fill out a quick Google form. Maybe you’re a parent who’s seen how $10-a-day daycare has changed your life. Or perhaps you’ve faced rising costs and want to share your experience with food banks. Whatever it is, your story matters.
This is a chance to make your voice heard on a national level. Democracy thrives when we hear from all corners of our communities. Plus, it’s a paid writing gig! You don’t need to be a pro; just share your thoughts.
You’ll even get to join a half-day online workshop with CBC’s First Person producer and other editors. After that, you’ll work closely with a CBC editor to polish your piece. Sounds like a great opportunity, right?
