A suspect stole three cars overnight, drove hundreds of kilometers across Quebec, leading to a crash in Blainville. Investigation ongoing.
This crash happened around 7 a.m. It shut down a road in Blainville. The alleged stolen car driver went to the hospital. They are in really bad shape. Others in the crash had minor injuries.
It began Monday afternoon. Someone reported a car theft in Sorel-Tracy. That is near Montreal. Police found the car, but it crashed. The driver ran away. Police could not find them. Then, another car got stolen at night.
It was stolen in Yamaska. They later found it far away. It was in Campbell’s Bay, near Ontario. A third car theft happened early Tuesday. This car was stolen in Campbell’s Bay.
Police found it on a highway. They tried using spike strips to stop it. The car then hit a police car and another vehicle. This happened on Highway 50. Police stopped chasing the car after a bit.
The fleeing driver then crashed into two more cars. This happened in Blainville. The driver is still in critical condition at the hospital. They closed the road so police could check things out.
